The Mens Football Team dominated last Season

Our Successes

Our Mens football team completed a national double by lifting the National Elite Knockout Inter-Collegiate cup. This follows on from their Colleges National League Championship success. They stretched their unbeaten run to 26 matches and got their hands on more silverware.

Jade Bell, starts her Scholarship in America

Our Women's Football Team have also had a fantastic season - Jade Bell, who completed her Level 3 Sports & Exercise Science course this summer has now started her scholarship at A&M Commerce in Texas, America. This shows the amount of talent we have and the great support of coaches and staff.

The College Nursery is awarded an Outstanding grade by Ofsted.

The Nursery, which received outstanding in every category, received extra praise for always going the extra mile. The report praised the Nursery for a "highly effective provision that responds to the needs of children and their families" and provides high quality experiences in a "welcoming and friendly setting".

VQ Learner of the Year for East of England

Our Successes

Craig Bucklow was named VQ Learner of the Year 2011 for the East of England. Craig was selected by a panel of education experts as a stand out winner, representing the very best of the country's vocational talent. The VQ Learner of the Year Awards is part of VQ Day, a national celebration of the people who gain vocational qualifications. VQ Day aims to raise awareness about the benefits of vocational qualifications and training, and recognises the role that vocational learning plays in society and in the UK economy. Craig was nominated for his exceptional achievements at College, including completing a triple distinction in record time and being elected as Student Governor, whilst studying for a BTEC Diploma in Computing.

College graduate lands role in Shrek the Musical

Our Successes

Jon-Scott Clark, a graduate of Huntingdonshire Regional College, has successfully been cast into the ensemble of Shrek the Musical.

Jon-Scott who studied a Level 3 Performing Arts Diploma at Stageworks, a specialist partner of the College, trained in all aspects of Performing Arts. Since graduating from the College Jon-Scott secured a place at the prestigious Laine Theatre Arts College in Surrey, where he was Head Boy, before being cast in the International Tour of Mamma Mia! Once he had completed his tour he successfully auditioned for Shrek the Musical.
