Alongside our full-time sports courses you may have the opportunity to join the Football Development Centre (FDC). The centre runs in partnership with Training Ground and provides students with the opportunity to gain recognised academic qualifications whilst accessing full-time professional training.

Players compete and represent the College in the British Colleges Elite League and have access to a variety of high class facilities and will travel to various places in Britain to compete against other Colleges.

Did you know? Huntingdonshire Regional College were crowned the 2010 and 2011 Men’s British College National Football League Champions and the Men’s British Colleges National Knock-Out Champions.

To apply for the Football Development Centre you must be at least 16 years of age, enrolled on a full-time Sport and Exercise Sciences course at the College and ideally already be playing at school or local club level. Selection will be based on an individual assessment during a series of trials.

The Centre offers the following benefits and experiences:

  • Premiership standard coaching in partnership with Training Ground
  • Up to 10 hours of top level training each week
  • Opportunities to play in top level college football (the English Colleges Football League)
