Our Caring Professions courses prepare you for a rewarding career in Childcare or Health & Social Care with the option to take a full-time course or apprenticeship.

You will gain an in-depth understanding of how these sectors deliver public services through a robust combination of work placements, theory, observation and practical elements.

The courses allow you to gain qualifications that are highly valued by employers, such as Supporting People with Learning Difficulties, Working in the Health Sector, Sign Language, First Aid, Food Hygiene, Moving & Handling, Counselling Skills, and Mentoring.

Estimated salaries:Earn up to £21k as a Care Assistant or up to £98k as a Health Service Manager.

Apprenticeships are available: The level of programme you are offered will depend on the qualifications you have achieved previously. Please see our Apprenticeship pages for more information about our apprenticeship programmes.

Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS): Previously CRB check; as your studies feature contact with vulnerable members of society (children) you will be required to have a satisfactory DBS certificate. You will be asked to complete a DBS form; the process will be explained at your interview. DBS clearance will allow you to attend work placements that will be relevant to your programme. If you have any concerns please speak to a member of the Admissions Team on 01480 379106.
