You will gain an in-depth understanding of how these sectors deliver public services through a robust combination of work placements, theory, observation and practical elements.
The pathway allows you to gain qualifications that are highly valued by employers, such as Supporting People with Learning Difficulties, Working in the Health Sector, Sign Language, First Aid, Food Hygiene, Moving & Handling, Counselling Skills, and Mentoring.
Apprenticeships are available: The level of programme you are offered will depend on the qualifications you have achieved previously. Please see our Apprenticeship pages for more information about our Apprenticeship Programmes.
Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS): Previously CRB check; as your studies feature contact with vulnerable members of society (children) you will be required to have a satisfactory DBS certificate. You will be asked to complete a DBS form; the process will be explained at your interview. DBS clearance will allow you to attend work placements that will be relevant to your programme.
