  • What our students say

Our Music Technology courses prepare you for a career in the Music and Media industry. With so many advancements in the way people listen to music it is an exciting industry to be in. You could be working at live concerts, in studios or working on the next audio technologies for games and websites.

Our courses will cover a wide range of skills including acoustics, keyboarding, mixing, recording and editing. You will produce a portfolio of work that will include a fully produced and mastered album, a music video, a music-based website and scores for film sequences. Working in our new state-of-the-art commercial music studio you will learn the essential skills and develop the knowledge you need to work within the industry.

On our Music Technology courses you may also get the chance to visit exhibitions, attend band recording assignments, go to music concerts and in the final year you will have the opportunity to showcase your work.

Did you know? Some of our current Music Technology students have formed a band, released an album (that was recorded in our studio) and are doing very well!

Matt Jones

Level 3 BTEC Extended Diploma in Music Technology

The Music Technology course is really fun; you learn a lot about the music industry. It is a really practical course and you get to learn first hand rather than people talking about the music industry. The studio at College is great - we can use it whenever we want to; my band and I are currently recording our album using the studio facilities.
