Motor Vehicle and Motor Sport

  • Overview

  • What our students say
  • Events
Our Motor Vehicle and Motor Sport courses allow you to study in many different areas such as race preparation, pit stop maintenance, welding, body and repair, general vehicle maintenance and paint spraying.

All of our courses give you the knowledge and skills needed to succeed in the motor industry. Our lessons are based around practical activities in our workshops allowing you to prepare for the hands-on career you have decide to pursue and give you the opportunity to gain an experience and get a feel for what working life in a garage is like.

During the course you will have the opportunity to visit local companies and employers as well as attend car shows to find out about the latest vehicle technology!

Do you live life in the fast-lane?

Our Motor Sport courses may be for you! These courses give you practical experience in preparing a race car prior to an event and give you the opportunity to go out to a number of racing events as part of the pit crew.

Did you know? At Huntingdonshire Regional College we have our very own racing car!

We also offer Motor Vehicle Apprenticeships.

Christopher Dunkley

Level 2 Diploma in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair

I am a very hands on person so this course suits me to a 'T'. On the course you make friends very easily as you all like things that go fast and make a lot of noise. The tutors have so much experience and knowledge, you are not in the dark for long. I am currently studying on the Level 2 course and hope to start the Level 3 course in September. After I have completed my Level 3 course I want to join the Army as a REME mechanic. This course has helped make my goal of joining the Army come one step closer.
