Directions
From Huntingdon take the A14 to Cambridge. Girton College is off the A14 on the outskirts of the city where the speed limit changes to 40mph. Join the bus lane and turn left at the entrance adjacent to the porter’s lodge. Park at the rear of the college.
About the course:
The Course is a three-way partnership between the following organisations – Girton College, Cambridge which provides the catering venue and facilities.
Girton College Catering & Conference Manager, Mr Graham Hambling.
Girton College Assistant Catering & Conference Manager, Mr Mark Foreman.
Cambridge MENCAP (based at Milton), Developmental Manager, Sabrina Harster.
Huntingdonshire Regional College – are responsible for the teaching and learning components of the course.
Courses
NPTC Hospitality and Catering Course – 1 year course leading to a nationally recognised accreditation.
The learners have the opportunity to work alongside the course tutor and college catering staff, offering real work experience in a commercial setting.
The ultimate outcome would be for the learner to gain employment in the Catering industry.
The teaching of literacy and numeracy is embedded in the course.
