Freedom of Information
Freedom of Information Requests
The Freedom of Information Act (2000) gives a general right of public access to all types of information held by public authorities, including Huntingdonshire Regional College.
Please see our Publication Scheme for guidance on the types of information available, the manner in which the information is made available and any charges that apply. This College has adopted the model publication scheme designed for further education which is approved by the ICO.
Costs
Information in the Publication Scheme is provided free of charge except for photocopying, printing and postage costs. We will not charge for downloading information from the college website and sending it via email.
If the information requested is not in our Publication Scheme we may charge reasonable costs to supply it. If the cost of finding and extracting the information exceeds £450 (equivalent to two and a half working days) then the college will not have to provide it at all. We will always advise you of costs before proceeding with a Freedom of Information request.
How long will it take?
We always answer Freedom of Information requests as quickly as possible – typically within 5 working days. If your request is more complex then it may take up to 20 working days from confirming receipt of your request.
