Boccia – Wheelchair Bowling
We were lucky enough to have Sandra King, the manager of the 2012 GB Boccia team, come to CRC to help train leaders in the sport, and we now run two classes a week.
Boccia is a Paralympic sport which is accessible for all. It is a seated bowling activity played in teams, in pairs, or as an individual and it can be played in a relatively small space. If you are interested in this activity please come along and give it a go – it’s great fun and can be very strategic!
Classes takes place at the Deakin Centre on Thursdays – run by student Nathan Lund, who was trained by Sandra – and in the Sports Hall at CRC on Fridays, run by the college’s Get Active leader Sarah Allen.
