Is this course for you
This course is designed for individuals that are already working in a relevant job. The course runs on a roll-on roll-off programme which allows individuals to join at any point during the year.
What qualifications do you need to join
No formal qualifications required, however, candidates should possess a reasonable grasp of numeracy, reading and writing and be in an appropriate job role to complete the NVQ.
What will you study
A total of 7 units to be achieved All of these mandatory units: * Monitoring the loading of the vehicle by others * Completing the pre-driving preparations * Maintaining the safety and security of the load, self and property * Maintaining awareness of driving conditions * Operating the vehicle systems * Driving the vehicle on public roads * Driving the vehicle in restricted spaces Optional Units Candidates may choose if they wish to add one or both of these additional units * Unloading the vehicle * Coupling and uncoupling the vehicle For Level 3 units please talk to your assassor.
How will you be assessed
An assessor will observe you in your work place, carrying out routine tasks and activities appropriate to your qualification. You will be requested to carry out discussions with your assessor and provide evidence of the work you do.
