Is this course for you?
The Diploma for the Early Years Workforce (Early Years Educator) prepares you to become Early Years Educators, enabling you to work with children from birth to 5 years and gain knowledge of children.
What will you study?
You will cover 23 Mandatory units covering four main Themes: Theme one Health and well being, Theme 2 Legislation, frameworks and professional practice, Theme 3 - Play, development and Learning for School Readiness and Theme 4 -Professional Development.
What qualifications to you need to join?
You must have GCSE Maths and English grade C or above before commencing the qualification.
How will you be assessed?
You will need to complete a longitudinal study, show competence in the real work environment with children aged 0 - 5 years and be assessed using a range of methods including, observation in the workplace, professional discussion and written evidence.
What can you do after the course?
Progress your career pathway within the Early Years Workforce and progress onto Management qualifications.
