Is this course for you?
The Level 2 Intermediate Apprenticeship Diploma for the Children and Young Peoples Workforce prepares you to work with children and young people from 0 - 18 years in a range of different settings.
What will you study?
You must complete 11 Mandatory units and 2 or 3 optional units to achieve 35 credits. You will cover a range of topics including communication, development, Equality and Diversity, Safeguarding and your own personal development. You will also study Employment Rights and Responsibilities, Personal Thinking and Learning Skills and Level 1 Functional Skills in ICT.
What qualifications to you need to join?
You will need a GCSE grade C or above in either Maths or English before commencing the qualification and have the skills to achieve functional skills in Maths, English and ICT, if required.
How will you be assessed?
You will need to show competence in the real work environment and be assessed using a range of methods including, observation in the workplace, professional discussion and written evidence.
