Business, Finance & IT apprenticeships

Business, Finance and IT apprenticeship pathways offer a diverse and exciting range of career options and opportunities.

Business, Finance and IT apprentices work in a vast array of industries, including, engineering, recruitment, security and education to name a few. Opportunities for career progression are very good, with apprentices starting in junior roles and progressing to team leading and management or onto further professional accountancy qualifications. ICT is a growing industry in the region, in 2015/16 there were 13,000 vacancies in this career pathway.

Whether you are leaving school, already in work and want to gain qualifications or seeking a new career, an apprenticeship might be for you.

Apprentices learn on the job and gain a vast amount of workplace experience. During your apprenticeship you will build your skills and knowledge and gain an understanding of what it takes to become successful in that industry. Your employer will give you all the support you need whilst at work. They will ensure your training fits your goals and relate to your skills. We, as the training provider, will support your learning and can help with any issues that may arise.

Earn while you learn

As an apprentice you will be employed like every other employee in your company which includes receiving a wage and getting paid holiday. All employed apprentices are entitled to a national minimum wage, currently £3.30 per hour, however some employers may pay their apprentices more than this. The average apprentice wage is £170 per week. If you are aged over 19 and in the second year of your apprenticeship you will be entitled to the National Minimum Wage.

Competence Qualification

An apprenticeship framework comprises a number of elements, either a separate competence and knowledge qualification, or in some cases a combined qualification, functional skills in English and maths and in some cases, ICT, employee rights and responsibilities and personal learning & thinking skills. Business Administration and Customer Service apprentices do not even have to attend College on day-release, all of the apprenticeship is delivered in the workplace. Accountancy and Business Administration also have external examinations. Our specialist staff are on hand to provide advice, guidance and support to enable you to find the best apprenticeship to suit your career goals.
