Computer Studies
This degree course can be studied on a full or part-time basis. The course has been developed after extensive collaboration with the School of Computer Science at Anglia Ruskin University and by arrangement offers the first and second year of an Honours Degree in Computer Science. It seeks to reflect the nature and breadth of contemporary IT Practice. Full-time students complete the first two years at Huntingdon and then proceed to the Cambridge campus of Anglia Ruskin University to complete their third year to gain a full Honours degree. Part-time students choose how much of the course they wish to take each year and therefore complete in varying lengths of time. They can also choose to complete HNC or HND course.
This programme covers a range of IT related topics including Networking, Software Engineering, Web and Internet Technology, Applications and Project Management. The course mixes clear theoretical issues with a strong practical element, the aim is to help students understand ‘Why’ and ‘How’ in relation to essential IT systems and techniques.
