Meet our Staff
Vicky Baker
Human Resources Officer

Hi, I am Vicky Baker; the Human Resources Officer at Huntingdonshire Regional College. I have worked here since 2002 starting out as a Payroll Assistant. In my first year I completed the Foundation in Payroll Administration which gave me a vast amount of knowledge, that I still use today! In 2005 I was appointed the Human Resources Administrator which over the years has evolved into an Officer.
My main job role is to look after the recruitment for Academic staff, from advertising the posts to giving the successful candidate an induction. I completed my CPP (Certificate in Personal Practice) course in 2006.
I have a young family and the College is really supportive and understanding of my personal committments. I hope to complete my CIPD and continue to work at Huntingdonshire Regional College.
Philip Pickering
LRC Support Tutor

I have worked at the College for over 7 years and began working here as a Volunteer Learning Support Assistant. After this I started working here part-time as a Learning Support Assistant and since being employed by the College have worked hard to enhance my skills and further my qualifications.
In 2007 the College supported me in completing my Certificate in Teaching in the Lifelong Learning Sector. This allowed me to take on new roles and responsibilities.
The most rewarding aspect of my role is watching the learners improve in confidence and achieve their goals.
I thoroughly enjoy working at the College, every day presents me with new challenges and I get to interact with a wide range of people. Huntingdonshire Regional College has a great sense of community and has helped me to realise my own personal goals.
