How we support our learners

Everyone at HRC is committed to ensuring that you receive learning experience whilst at College, allowing you to focus on achieving your career ambitions.

We will offer assistance throughout your time with us, whether it is financial advice, academic guidance or career information that you require.

Our ultimate aim is help you to be fully prepared for your next steps when you leave us with your qualification.

HRC’s Learner Services team offer advice and guidance on a wide range of career-related issues such as choosing the right study programme for you, progression routes, financial support and personal support.

What’s life like as a 19+ Learner at HRC?

Our courses will help you develop your skills to further your career or retrain and start a new career.

At Huntingdonshire Regional College we offer a wide range of courses from Level 2 to degree level courses, enabling you to find an appropriate study programme that helps you grow.

Training takes place in professional and realistic working environments, including workshops and salons equipped with industry standard equipment. Our expert course tutors have extensive industry experience and knowledge to ensure you achieve your qualification.

Interested in ESOL? 

Huntingdonshire Regional College runs classes for learners at levels E1 to L2 at the following times:

Monday 09.30-12.00 and 18.00-20.30

Tuesday 09.30-12.00 and 18.00-20.30

Thursday 09.30-1200 and 18.00-20.30

Friday 09.30-12.00

Tuition is 2.5 hours a week for 32 weeks, commencing w/c 12th September 2016 and ending w/c 9th June 2017.

Functional Skills classes are also available to adult learners:

English – 

Thursday 18.00-20.00 and Friday 09.30-11.30

Maths –

Tuesday 18.00-20.00 and Friday 13.30-15.30

A real job with good long-term prospects.

Our range of Pathways will give you the skills and qualifications you need for your next steps, whether that is the perfect job or a university course. We offer vocational qualifications that focus on practical, hands-on learning. You will also learn the skills needed to develop a career in your chosen industry.

After completing your Pathway you will have a number of progression routes available, you will be able to continue with your studies, enroll on to an Apprenticeship, go to University or another training provider. Whichever route you decide to follow we will be on hand to help you and ensure you receive the support you need.
